Our Location

Milford on Sea in Hampshire

Milford on Sea is tucked behind the Keyhaven Marshes and Hurst Spit on the South Coast. A traditional English sea side village complete with village green and Norman church, we a have a pebbled beach dotted with brightly coloured beach huts and fabulous views of the Isle of Wight and the Needles. At low tide the sand bank is revealed, creating a wonderful lagoon  -  if you are lucky you can see horse riders gallop it’s length,  and join the beach cricketers and wine drinkers make their way out to enjoy the sunsets.

Vinegar Hill is a ten minute walk to both the village green and the beach.

The Keyhaven Marshes are part of the Coastal New Forest National park. An area of salt marsh and Swallows and Amazonesque mudflats between Lymington and Keyhaven, it is a haven for birdlife throughout the year. The reserve is also of huge importance for the large numbers of breeding, feeding and roosting birds. The Salt Marshes are protected by Hurst Spit – along which you can walk to Henry VIII’s Hurst Castle – a fortress perched right on the end, from which it feels as though you can reach out and touch the Isle of Wight. Climb to the roof and enjoy the magnificent 360 degree views of the Solent.

The picturesque Georgian market town of Lymington is a 10 minute drive or an hours walk along the Sea Wall from Keyhaven, and the magnificent New Forest National Park and it’s thatched cottages, wild ponies and spectacular scenery is a 20 minute drive away.
